Full-scale Development of ‘COPPERNOX’ Begins

DSP has been selected for the Regional Autonomous Program for Global Small Giants, hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups of Korea.
With this selection, the company is set to accelerate the development of its new material, COPPERNOX.

COPPERNOX is a high-performance composite material that features copper (Cu) as the surface layer and steel or stainless steel as the backing.
It will be developed in various specifications using 0.15mm and 0.2mm copper sheets, tailored to meet specific customer requirements.

The product offers excellent bonding strength and enables 30–40% cost savings compared to pure copper,
all while delivering outstanding aesthetic value.

Copper has long been used in iconic buildings such as the Statue of Liberty in the United States and the roof
of the National Assembly building in Korea. However, due to its high cost, its application has been limited.
COPPERNOX addresses this issue by retaining the visual and functional benefits of copper,
while significantly reducing material costs—earning high expectations from the market.

Initially, COPPERNOX displays the distinctive reddish hue of copper,
which naturally oxidizes over time into a green patina, enhancing its visual appeal and architectural value.

Demand is already emerging from the U.S. and Vietnam, and upon completion of development,
the product is expected to receive strong interest from the Korean and Japanese markets as well.

Going forward, DSP aims to bring a fresh breeze to the architectural materials industry
by applying innovative materials and leading the market with high-quality products.
The company remains committed to the development of high value-added materials and technological innovation,
solidifying its position as a global leader in architectural solutions.
